Our client is looking to appoint store managers to join our ever-growing team in some of the following areas:
Benoni and Springs
As our stores are owner operated, store managers report directly to the owners and act as the owner’s representatives in the stores. We expect our store managers to take care of the stores as if it were their own stores.
Our store managers usually have assistant managers, supervisors, and general staff to assist them in their tasks.
Task of our mangers include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Day-to-day running of the stores
- Staff management and discipline
- Stock control
- Shrinkage prevention and stock loss prevention
- Ensuring customer service excellence
- Ensuring operational requirements are met
- Ensuring store compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Ensuring effective implementation of campaigns and promotions
- Ensuring store admin is always up to date
- Ensuring good housekeeping and merchandising
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum criteria:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in retail and management is essential
- Contactable references
- Clear criminal record
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Computer literate with good proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Willing and able to work retail hours
The following criteria will be advantageous:
Qualification in retail, management, or similar fields
Previous experience in stationery, arts & crafts, or book industries
