Main job function
- Full bookkeeping function to balance sheet.
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
- Prepare and process journals, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Perform monthly bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions.
- Assist with management accounts and financial reporting.
- Support the year-end audit process with accurate documentation.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data flow.
Qualifications
- Bookkeeping/accounting diploma or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Criteria
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with at least 5 at a senior level.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles up to balance sheet.
- Proficiency in Pastel or QuickBooks
- Strong Excel skills and computer literacy.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
