Main Job Function
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by actively identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities. This role involves managing accounts, playing a critical part in achieving the company’s sales targets and strategic goals. The ideal candidate has strong relationship-building skills, understanding of the sales process, and a proven track record in B2B sales. Candidates with experience in the Sheet metal or Catering equipment supplies would be suitable for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
- Maintain and grow relationships with clients
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close sales
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and post-sale
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify business
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for senior
- Collaborate with head office team and on-site installations teams to ensure client
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a sales
- Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a of a team
- Tertiary studies in business, marketing or related field (preferred)
- Preferably bilingual English and Afrikaans
- Reliable own car
- Valid driver’s license
- They may be away from home from time to time
- Microsoft computer literate
- No criminal record or history of alcohol or drug abuse
- Be able to handle pressure and teamwork
- Be prepared to work late on occasions
- Cold calls to be discussed at interview
- A sense of humor
