Publishing Sales Representative – CLPSR

Main job function
Main functions would then be as follows:
– Work with the bookstores and sell them the stock to then sell them to their customers.
– Work with the schools and get them to either purchase our books or put them onto the recommended lists so the parents can go to the bookstores at the end of the year and purchase our books from those bookstores.
– Continue to create a network of bookstores and schools that purchase our books.
– Create and maintain good customer relationships with the clients.
– Keeping admin in on all the stores (in the computer and files)
– Analyzing performance of all the book outlets and coming up and executing sales and marketing strategies with these book outlets- Producing performance reports
– Constantly building relationships with retail bookstores such as PNA, Van Schaik, Aristata and many independent stores as well.
– Implementing strategies to keep stock moving through the book outlets to the end customer so they continue to order more stock which will then create a stream of income to the company.
– Visting stores and training and activating the store floor attendants to make sure that they promote our book as the number 1 solution for Maths to their customers.
– Attending staff training to continue to enhance your skills for your position and learn about the company’s management systems that would enhance your personal
performance on post.
– Prior experience working as a Sales Representative for publishing/educational companies dealing with schools/bookstores sales minimally 3 years.

Qualifications
Matric graduate plus 3 years sales experience

Criteria
1. You must have a reliable vehicle and driver’s license so that you can go around and visit schools and different book outlets.
2. You must be a matric graduate.
3. You must have excellent communication skills and being able to talk to the store managers/owners.
4. You must have great telephonic skills and have no back off from talking to people on the phone.
5. You must be energetic and willing to engage with the customer.
6. You must have good customer relations skills and be able to build the rapport with our clients instantly.
7. You must be target driven with self-discipline and good work ethic. Target set is target met, and this is the attitude that would be most appropriate for this position and would be expected of you to uphold.
8. You must be eager to learn new things to keep improving your skills. 9. You must be located within 30-40 minutes radius from the office maximum. Our address is 89 Studio Office Park, 5 Concourse Crescent, Lonehill. It is not a remote position you will need to work from the office.

Schedule:
Normal office hours are from 8:00 am till 16:30 pm

Remuneration: R15k
