Exciting opportunity for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a leading engineering company based in Sandton! Main job function
- Responsible for Maintenance of Employees Master Data on CRS Payroll system
- Manage the monthly Payroll input processing.
- Ensure that correct posting of Payroll Entries to the General Ledger
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of Payroll deductions and earnings.
- Ensure that all inputs/changes to the payroll are accompanied by properly authorised documentation.
- Ensure auditing, testing, verifying and checking of changes are done on payroll inputs.
- Manage the accurate and timely payment of all 3rd party related reporting.
- Perform the Monthly Payroll Accounting Reconciliations
- Keep abreast/track of changes to legislation impacting on payroll and ensure the payroll is trained compliant to the changes.
- Prepare and submit all the monthly payroll returns e.g. PAYE, UIF, Garnishees, Skills Development
- Oversee the reconciliations and distribution process of IRP5’s
- Deal with Adhoc payroll requests from other departments.
- Dealing with daily queries from staff
- Ensure filling of all Payroll Documents in line with Documents Retention Policy
- Update CRS system when there are new releases.
- Responsible for monthly cellphone recons and deductions
- Responsible for petrol recons and deductions
- Calculations of overtime and standby hours
- Monthly reporting such as employee listing, data source reporting, leave reporting, etc.
- Maintains records of regular deductions from employees payments such as deductions on Medical Aid,UIF, PAYE, etc.
- Coordinates efforts between the payroll department and other departments to ensure accurate employee data.
- Ensures maximum compliance with government regulations.
- Ensures the submission of payroll reports and sheets for timely processing of staff salary.
- Adhoc duties when required.
Qualifications
- Matric
- Relevant Tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3- 5 years in similar role
- Advanced CRS Payroll experience is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Tax submissions, generating IRP5’s, Liasing with
SARS etc.
- Computer Literacy skills-Word & Excel
- Good Accounting Skills
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Payroll and Administration

Remuneration: R30 000 – R40 000 per month
