Off Consumption Trade Marketer – CLOCTM

Job Purpose

To serve as a direct representative of premium liquor brands in off-consumption retail outlets (e.g., bottle stores, supermarkets), driving sales growth through enhanced visibility, merchandising excellence, and value-added promotional activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

– Promote and sell a portfolio of premium alcoholic beverages to off-consumption outlets.

– Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and buyers.

– Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic territory planning.

Merchandising & Brand Visibility

– Ensure optimal shelf placement and in-store visibility of products.

– Implement point-of-sale materials and promotional displays.

– Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishments.

Promotions & Activations

– Organize and execute in-store tastings and promotional events.

– Collaborate with marketing teams to roll out seasonal campaigns.

– Provide feedback on consumer engagement and campaign effectiveness.

Reporting & Market Intelligence

– Submit regular sales and activity reports to the Head of Sales.

– Track competitor activity and market trends.

– Provide insights to support strategic planning and product development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

– Minimum 3 years’ experience in liquor sales, preferably with premium alcoholic beverages.

– Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

– Strong understanding of the off-consumption liquor market in South Africa.

– Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
