Main job function
• Communicate with clients to understand their problems.
• Provide technical support to clients, do troubleshooting and fault finding on equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams.
• Repair, install, replace and service equipment.
• Work with 3 phase electrical power equipment.
• Communicate and provide training to the client’s personal on the supplied equipment.
• Commission and setup the supplied equipment.
• Program and interface with various PLC, HMI and other control systems as required.
• Network setup and configuration is a requirement.
• Compile and manage the required day to day documentation and planning.
Qualifications
• Minimum N4 in Electrical & instrumentation
• Trade Test advantageous
Criteria
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering sector
• Software and PLC programming experience on either Allan Bradley / Siemens or Schneider PLC
• Must be fluent in English.
• Code 08 Driver’s License.
• Knowledge and experience in electrical installations, MCC layouts and electrical equipment.
• Technical designs and analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in the electrical and instrumentation field and general fault-finding procedures.
• Experience in drawing program like Autocad would be a benefit.
Remuneration: R450’000 CTC PA
