Front Desk Receptionist  – SSFDR

Main job function

  • Matric
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a receptionist
  • In-depth understanding of the entire office suite
  • Professional level of verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Switchboard knowledge

Key deliverables:

  • Greetings and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person or office
  • Ensuring guests are taken care of, by offering refreshments
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials.
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Update calendars and schedules
  • Arrange local and international couriers to be fetched and delivered timeously
  • Ensures the catering service for key meetings is seamless in terms of providing guidance/ oversight to the relevant kitchen staff.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as but not limited to, filing and photocopying
