Field Sales Engineer – New Business Development Manager – Reference SSFSENBDM

At least 5 years’ experience in the Sales and Marketing field at a senior management level or experience as a Field Sales Engineer in the electronics components industry.

 

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

  • To grow the Group’s SALES through identifying and developing business and commercial opportunities relevant to our targeted markets.
  • To achieve / exceed targets / budgets aimed at growing sustainable sales and profits through the development of business partnerships, which provide a total communication solution to the client.
  • To manage the marketing and branding of the company in line with industry trend and target market

Desired Experience and Qualification 

Experience:

  • 5 years of sales in electronics manufacturing or in industrial electronics with track record and ability to increase sales, provide technical and after sales support.
  • Sound knowledge of various electronics and wire harnessing products within the industry

Understanding of the markets in which we operate (Automotive, Aerospace Automation, Defence Systems, Communication Systems, Tracking Systems, Domestic and Industrial Security Systems)

 

Computer ability:

  • Computer literate – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Syspro advantageous
  • High-level computer skills to enhance support work and interaction with the customers and Factory

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing, Communications or Light Current Electronics.

Duties Responsibilities:

  • As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the entire sales process from initial contact with new clients through to closure ending in preferably a long-term contractual relationship. You will also be required to account manage to further maximise the business from the customer. 
  • Marketing and Branding of the company which involves the management of any advertising campaigns, company website, editorials, magazines and social media platforms.

Maintain Effective Communication

  • Effective communication with production, internal sales support, estimating and branch manager.
  • Advise management about market conditions, product performance and competition affecting targeted industries.
  • Provide manager with daily, weekly and monthly sales report
  • Track and report on key sales indicators – quote conversion ratio and invoicing against budget
  • Resolving production and product issues with customers.

Develop Knowledge and Skills

  • Study the operations and performance of accounts and analyse competitive activity.
  • Maintain industry and account database.
