The Role:
We’re looking for a data-driven, creative Digital Marketer who can help us build brand awareness, drive lead generation, and support platform adoption through digital channels. The perfect candidate needs to be a strategic thinker, who is willing to be hands-on and enjoys a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with the multimedia designer, sales and community teams, and report directly to leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies across paid and organic channels (Google, Meta, Threads, etc.) that will result in tangible success measured against set KPI’s.
- Conceptualise and implement product-lead marketing campaigns for specific target audiences to drive awareness, resulting in qualified leads.
- Drive brand awareness by collaborating with industry influencers and co-ordinate campaign content to increase brand reach and engagement.
- Take full responsibility for setting up and optimising lead-gen campaigns, including special promotions and offers.
- Collaborate with the team to create engaging web content, which will include website content and updates.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital content and marketing collateral.
- Understand the art of storytelling: Take ownership of all messaging, which will include elements such as social media posts, captions, content and SEO copywriting, proposals, and scripts using the brand tone.
- High-Speed Execution: Proven ability to launch campaigns rapidly without compromising on quality. Must show examples of working under pressure, preferably in startup orfast-paced environments.
- B2B & B2C Marketing Acumen: Experience designing and executing campaigns for both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) audiences — especially relevant as client grows its marketplace and adds a gym management solution.
- Reporting: Analyze digital campaign performance and make data-informed recommendations to improve ROI.
- Customer Conversion and Retention: Lead email marketing efforts (via platforms like Beehiiv), including segmentation, automation, and campaign analysis.
- Support ambassador/influencer content marketing rollouts.
- Stay updated on trends in tech, wellness, and the African digital space.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Marketing Diploma (minimum NQF Level 6)
- 3–5 years experience in a digital marketing role (startup or tech platform experience is a big plus).
- Proficiency in digital tools (Google Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and bulk mailing systems and GA4
- Working knowledge of SEO principles.
- Strong understanding of community marketing and content-led growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for wellness, tech, and empowering African service providers.
- Self-starter attitude — you know how to build from scratch.
