Commercial Service Leader – CLCSL

Main job function

The Commercial Service Leader is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and operational excellence of the service portfolio. This role ensures customer retention, expands the existing portfolio, secures new service contracts, and aligns service delivery with commercial strategy. The Commercial Service Leader works closely

with, operations, sales, and customers teams to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

 

 Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in Business Management, Sales or related field.
  • Experience in contract sales, commercial negotiations, or business development.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.

  

Criteria

Customer Service Management

  • Maintain and improve customer relations through regular interactions and feedback on their queries.
  • Management and implementation of follow-up of measures related to customer claims and complaints.
  • On-going communication with clients in order to apprise them of the status and condition of their equipment and give advice on repairs and future needs.
  • Participate in customer satisfaction survey results and have action plans to improve results.
  • Analyze current, past and potential new customers to identify opportunities for client to expand the portfolio.
  • Identify customers and contact persons.
  • Maintain vigilance in all customer dealings to detect warnings signs of customer dissatisfaction and possible contract cancellation, immediately communicate all such concerns to the Service Leader.

 

Contract Negotiation & Management

  • Coordinate, prepare and negotiate all offers and contracts.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and finalise service contracts with customers.
  • Identify clients needs to propose contract amendments or new service agreements that drive growth.

 

Financial Management

  • Protecting the revenue of the depot thereby ensuring profitability.
  • To achieve depot goals and targets in all areas of performance.
  • Report on contract status, risks and opportunities to Service Leader.
  • Track contract profitability and financial performance.

 

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies related to contracts.
  • Provide the Service Leader with timely follow up reports for contract renewals, outstanding offers and past due receivables.

 

Continues Improvement

  • Monitor competitor offering and market trends to propose attractive contract terms.
  • Track contract sales pipeline and performance metrics.
  • Inspecting service work carried out, in order to meet contractual and Government Regulations.
  • Anayse contract management processes to recommend and implement improvements.
