- Responsibilities
As an Assistant Engineer your duties and responsibilities include but shall not be limited to:
Your role will support all sites, and some travel will be required.
- Defining and writing of procedures, process flows and work instructions.
- Identification and implementation of efficiency improvement projects.
- Implementation of capital projects across all sites: scoping, costing, procurement, installation and commissioning.
- Assess new tooling requirements and balance machine capacities.
- Assisting in the factory and understanding the machinery to support production when required
- Assisting with budgeting.
- Keeping records and filing
- Creating orders on the system
- Spares procurement
- Tooling procurement
- Reading drawings
- Attend and contribute to the monthly operations, SHE, production and Quality meetings.
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations.
- Train staff in new and existing processes
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers and stay in touch with new technologies.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
- Meet with customers on technical and quality matters
- Any other ad hoc functions that may be required of you
- Requirements
- BSc or Engineering Degree
