The candidate will be expected to conduct legal work for a variety of clients across a spectrum of industries. The candidate will also be responsible for the Business Development of the Corporate and Commercial practice. Furthermore, the candidate will be required to develop and transfer his/her knowledge and skills in this sphere to the junior members of the team.
• LLB Degree
• Tax qualification would be highly advantageous.
• Admission as an Attorney in South Africa
• Legal Practice Council member in Good Standing
• 3 years postadmission experience at a large, well-established law firm, or in the inhouse legal department of a large corporate group of companies
• Experience in corporate and commercial law is essential, and particularly in drafting and reviewing contracts.
• Ability to conduct extensive research and having a detail-oriented approach.
