Main job function
The role is dedicated to transforming ideas and client requirements into production-ready designs and drawings for ease-of-manufacture. The Engineer is expected to produce innovative, detailed manufacturing drawings with guidance from the Structural Design and Engineering manager. Responsible for engineering integrity with maximum focus on design efficiency, assembly, and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications and Skills
– BSc / BEng Mechanical or suitable architectural qualification specializing in retail design and manufacturing or equivalent practical experience.
– 3D CAD.
– Creo (advantageous) or any suitable 3D design package
– Experience Required:
o 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing with a diverse knowledge of processes, materials, shop fitting, joinery etc
o 1-2 years industry specific (advantageous
Criteria
Critical Decision making:
– Understand Manufacturing and Production workflows and assist in the decision making process.
– Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
– Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Planning and Organising:
– Ensure on time delivery for Production and Handover to client.
– The Engineer will need to work towards project specific timelines.
– Create 3D models and drawing packs for Manufacturing purposes.
– Any reasonable request from management including Technical Engineering, ad hoc projects.
