Senior Factory Manager – CBSFMI

Our client within the production / manufacturing plant industry, is one of the largest producers of wattle extract in the world. They take pride in the fact that their products are consistently of the highest quality.  The production facilities are state-of-the-art and adhere to strict quality control measures to ensure the purity and potency of their product.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Factory Manager to manage the factory in order to produce wattle extract products effectively & efficiently and ensuring the productivity and well being of all employees.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Overseeing production processes, maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring quality control, managing inventory and supplies, implementing safety protocols, and developing and implementing strategies to increase production and profitability.
  • Planning, formulating and controlling the production activities
  • Manage factory budget
  • Implement and maintain operational strategies
  • Health & Safety – ensuring the production and safety standards are in compliance
  • ISO and Quality management
  • Working in line with the companies policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and isiZulu is a great advantage
  • Additionally, the function is responsible for leading and motivating staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • A qualification in Engineering / chemical engineering or Business Administration.
  • A Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
  • At least 6 years practical experience in an industrial process plant, including knowledge of boiler operations.
  • Including at least 5 years’ experience in leading a management team.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in safety management and quality control systems.
  • Knowledge and expertise in respect of OHS Act AND regulations.
  • Knowledge and expertise in respect labour legislation, and disciplinary enquiries.
  • Computer proficiency using MS Office suite.
