Senior Crypto Trader – Reference SSSCT

Main job function

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Crypto Arbitrage Trader to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foreign exchange (FX) trading and cryptocurrency markets, with at least five years of experience. This role involves executing arbitrage strategies by buying FX and selling cryptocurrencies, leveraging price differences across various markets to achieve optimal returns.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trading Operations:
   • Execute crypto arbitrage trades, ensuring best execution practices to maximize
   • Monitor FX and cryptocurrency markets to identify arbitrage
   • Develop and implement trading strategies for arbitrage in the crypto
2. Market Analysis:
   • Conduct in-depth analysis of global FX and cryptocurrency markets, including economic indicators, market trends, and geopolitical events.

3. Client Relationship Management:
   • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored trading solutions.
   • Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing any queries and providing expert advice on crypto and FX trading.

• Identify, monitor, and manage risks associated with arbitrage trading
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCom) or a related
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in FX trading, with a proven track record of successful trading performance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in trading platforms, risk management tools, and market analysis software.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed trading decisions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate market views and trading strategies clearly.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FX market regulations and compliance requirements.
