Our client in the manufacturing industry are currently seeking the skills of a procurement Controller to be based in Weltevredenpark
Main job function
Administration relating to creation and maintenance of new and existing vendors and material master data for all company codes.
Performing vendor verification checks for South African based companies.
Completion of credit applications and ensuring that the Company does not extend its risk profile with suppliers.
Updating BBEE status, classification fields of vendor master data for BBBEE as well as creating a scorecard on the nominated procurement system or portal.
Assisting in the annual accreditations by the Verification Agency by providing the required worksheets for the previous financial year together with certificates and other supporting evidence.
Housekeeping of vendor and material master data as well as compilation of procurement reports.
Playing an administrative role in general communication to suppliers.
Qualifications
Grade 12 plus a Certificate or Diploma in Commercial/Business/Supply Chain/Procurement Management
Criteria
Three years’ experience within a financial or procurement environment, two years of which must have been in a procurement administration role.
Minimum three years SAP MM/FI experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
