Finance Manager – LCFM

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role involves overseeing the finance team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop financial strategies: Create and implement financial strategies to support the company’s business objectives.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these plans.
  • Conduct financial analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

 

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate management reports: Provide regular financial reports and analyses to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure all financial reporting complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

 

 Cash Flow Management:

Monitor cash flow:

  • Oversee cash flow management to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Optimize working capital: Implement strategies to optimize working capital and improve cash flow efficiency.
  • Manage investments: Oversee the management of company investments and ensure optimal returns.

  

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage budgets: Create and manage departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor expenses: Track and control expenses to ensure they are within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct variance analysis: Analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.

 

 Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks: Assess and identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Manage insurance: Oversee the management of company insurance policies and ensure adequate coverage.

 

 Team Leadership:

  • Lead the finance team: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop team members: Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for professional growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members

  

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with other departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to support business objectives
  • Provide financial insights: Offer strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Manage relationships: Build and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.

  

Financial Systems Management: SAGE

  • Oversee financial systems: Ensure the financial systems and software are up-to-date and functioning effectively.
  • Implement improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Ensure data integrity: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data and records.

 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
