Our Client is seeking an experience and competent Instrumentation Technician to join their family orientated business based in the East Rand. Salary highly negotiable.
Main job function
To plan and execute both planned and unplanned maintenance on PLC’s, instrumentation & associated control systems by testing, calibrating, installing, repairing, inspecting & monitoring equipment according to quality & safety standards. To show constant commitment to quality as a result of clear focus, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skilful execution.
Experience/Criteria
- Technical qualification in Instrumentation. Minimum NQF 6 – 7.
- AVEVA & Festo training will be advantageous.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy (MS Office).
- Experience in programming PLC’s and VSD’s.
- Previous experience working on high speed packaging machines – HMI driven.
- Previous work experience within an FMCG environment.
- Prior knowledge of ISO standards.
- Excellent practical implementation of problem-solving techniques.
- Practical knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems & plant automation.
