QHSE Manager (Global) (AEGQHSE)

We are seeking an experienced Global QHSE Manager to oversee and manage Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental functions across our international operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s QHSE management systems, driving continuous improvement through Lean and Kaizen methodologies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, particularly within the Oil & Gas sector. This role requires strong leadership, remote team management across multiple time zones, and the ability to provide concise, accurate reporting to senior management along with practical solutions to operational and QHSE challenges.

Main job function   

  • Manage and oversee the company’s global QHSE management systems.
  • Lead and manage QHSE personnel located in multiple countries and time zones.
  • Assess current departmental competencies, identify skills gaps, and develop a structured recruitment and training plan.
  • Implement and drive Lean and Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including API, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company policies, procedures, and work instructions related to QHSE.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics related to quality, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly QHSE reports to executive management, including performance summaries, key risks, incidents, non-conformances, and recommended corrective actions and solutions.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and management teams to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Ensure effective use of collaborative and remote working platforms for communication, reporting, and document control.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.

 

Experience/Criteria    

  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in QHSE management.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with API standards and audits is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems preferred.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification preferred.

 

 

 

Remuneration: R100 000 – R150 000 CTC pm (Neg)
