Our client in the IT managed services industry are currently seeking the skills of a Procurement Manager to be based either in Gauteng or in Cape Town
Main job function
Management of the Procurement team as well as doing procurement yourself
Client invoicing (regular ad hoc invoicing throughout the month in addition to management of the main monthly run)
Ad hoc procurement requests for clients, sourcing, quoting, purchasing
Vendor relationships including selection, onboarding, performance monitoring and issue resolution.
Onboarding and offboarding customers
Product catalogue and pricing maintenance, including standardisation and simplification
Logistics of shipments between vendors, clients and our offices
Defining, monitoring and reporting on Procurement KPIs
Management and maturing of procurement processes
Working with colleagues in other teams to leverage the existing toolset to streamline and Automate procurement processes
Qualifications
Procurement related qualification
Criteria
Proven experience in procurement or vendor management
Experience within IT services or a similar sector
Previous team management or leadership experience.
Strong background in invoicing, procurement cycles and process management.
Experience working with international vendors and clients.
Strong attention to detail and highly organised approach.
Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
