Company Overview:
Our client is a technology startup preparing to launch a CRM-powered digital marketplace connecting service providers (e.g., personal trainers, personal shoppers) with clients. We are expanding our platform to support gyms, fitness studios, and other wellness-related businesses with features like client booking, payment management, and CRM tools. The company is in the pre-launch phase with operations underway, and we’re hiring key early-stage team members to help scale our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies for relevant target audiences across South Africa.
- Drive B2B and B2C acquisition through proven sales tactics.
- Develop and implement lead conversion strategies for sales and marketing generated leads resulting in paying clients (gyms, studios, trainers, shoppers, etc.)
- Create, manage, and optimise onboarding processes for converted leads, including all touch points.
- Lead platform demos, create sales decks and work with the marketing team to develop sales collateral for the various audiences.
- Develop B2B client relationship strategies and maintain existing client relationships.
- Source new partnership opportunities with fitness/wellness brands, studios, and boutiques reaching set monthly targets and completing the onboarding process within set time frames.
- Identify and activate collaboration opportunities to grow Clients B2B and B2C user base. (eg: Co-creating content with influencers or trainers.)
- Provide regular insights and feedback to the broader team from the field to support business growth, campaign development.
- Track KPIs, churn, user activity, and help improve feature-market fit based on feedback.
- Achieve monthly sales targets.
- Provide formalised insights, backed with data, to direct product feature development to improve user experience.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: 3–5 years experience in sales or business development, partnerships roles, ideally in tech, SaaS, fitness, Fashion, or service-based platforms with a proven record of success.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation, and outreach skills. Ability to manage the full sales cycle from Prospecting to Onboarding.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with CRM systems, digital tools, and sales platforms.
- Market Insight: Familiarity with both B2C funnels (individual users) and B2B relationships (gyms and businesses).
- Initiative: This is a startup role — we need a doer, not just a planner.
- Cultural Fit: Someone excited to be part of an ambitious African startup creating social and commercial value. Prior exposure to fitness, wellness, or lifestyle platforms is a strong plus

○ Competitive salary (to be discussed based on experience) – Market related
