Main job function
An electrical automation compnay are looking for a PLC Project technician to carry out project based work for installing new PLC installations, retrofits and upgrades.
Objectives & Responsibilities Of The Role
To handle incoming enquiries for PLC upgrades , retrofits or new PLC installations
Quotes for projects: Parts, specifications, cycle analysis, labour requirements & overall function. Define scope, benefits, exclusions & submit for approval To install & Commission above mentioned PLC based solutions quoted on. Check schematic drawings prior to panel building or manufacturing To understand electronic principles of drives and servo motors. Generate timing plans for projects (if costed) & manage the timelines. Check all required project documentation is in order. Design plc functionality and translate into streamline, functional plc program. Design and functionality of hmi & program. To be fully self sufficient in electrical drawing creation Escalate supplier non-delivery when required to relevant manager Keep clients informed of progress of their respective projects, inform them of any changes promptly. Siemens S7 knowledgeServo closed loop VSD knowledge
CAD or equivelent design software experience
Eplan Knowledge (Advantageous)
Relevant tertiary qualifications
5 Years of PLC programming experience
Project completion from spec to install and commissioning
