Main job function
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of both the Hard drive-Linux OS based system and Visual systems at the business customer. This will include the planning and installation management function during single and multi-site deployment projects, as well as day-to- day responsibility for the maintained workshop and on-site repairs.
They will also be responsible for 2nd tier support to the Customer Services including acting as a back-up if required.
The TSS will be responsible for but not limited to the following Key Responsibilities -
Implementation of Network/Server Set up for Profusion & Visual customers and customer deployments. (Take instruction from Operations Support Manager)
Provide a second-tier support service on solution failures as escalated by the Client Relationship Managers
Repair and installation of in-house ProFusion & Visual products.
Configuration and maintenance of the ProFusion & Visual network update facility at client sites. This includes liaison with applicable IT Administrators on configuration, testing, update and repair activities as well as Technical Staff from our U.S office.
Understanding of Client server set up (DHCP / DNS)
Ensure the maintenance workshop environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures
Maintain the back-up solution for ProFusion products
Ensure the turn-around of faulty/repaired equipment
Act as a backup for CSR’s if and when required
Matric; TCP/IP Networking; A+, N+ knowledge essential
Minimum 2 years working experience in technical/support/IT environment/; Experience in a Project and / or Customer Service
environment is an advantage.
Own vehicle in good condition essential
Available on alternate weekends as standby
