Job Description:

Our client, a leading roofing manufacture, seeking External Technical Sales Rep to promote their full basket of products and grow the business

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing

Civil/Structural Engineering degree added advantage

 

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited too)

 

Daily contacts:

·        Contractors – Main and subcontractors

·        Architects

·        Specifiers

·        Quantity Surveyors

·        Engineers

·        Calling on existing customers and canvassing for new customers.

Assist with walk in customer sales

Telesales

Tender pricing / Quotations / Issuing of Orders

Communicate customers and targeted professionals requirements

Promote Global Roofing Solutions full basket of products at all times

Provide targeted professionals with updated material, technical info, brochures, samples

Knowledge of material availability and stock holding

Knowledge of competitors, product offering and prices in the market place

Liaise with Customer on progress of orders when required.

Liaise with Administrator & Expeditor on changes to customers requirements

Manage projects together with progress and customers requirements

Travelling between appointments

Weekly Call Reports

Monthly Material Forecast

General Own Admin and Filing

Maintain and grow customer data base

Assist Administrator & Expeditor with customers cutting lists / drawing office requests

Assist Administrator with credit applications and rep reports for the debtors department

Assist debtor department with Account enquiries

Assist Administrator & Expeditor with Customer complaints, requirements, progress

Decking inspections when needed

Resolve of customer complaints speedily

Ensure customer is furnished with relevant technical info. and installation of products

Assist with additional tasks as requested by management from time to time

Overtime required from time to time

Assist with answering of incoming telephone calls

Uphold the company’s code of ethics

Participate in Stock take Quarterly

Knowledge of material in warehouse

Experience:

Experience in Concrete Civil / Structural Industry highly advantage

Computer Literacy is essential (i.e. MS Office/Syspro)

Valid Driver’s License is essential

Minimum 5 years Sales Rep experience is essential

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Good knowledge of reading of English language.

Knowledge / ability to interpret and read architectural and structural drawings will be essential

Ability to negotiate and communicate with all customers

Liaise effectively with Colleagues and Management

Ability to work independently

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to do travelling
