Job Description:

Our client in the Automotive industry, based in Gauteng is looking for a Technical Sales Executive to join their team.

Main job function

Responsible for managing/maintaining key accounts of the company; ensure customer satisfaction; solving customer complaints; driving sales and growing customer base. Drive marketing activities and improve/maintain customer service levels.

Prepare quotations and costings for new vehicles

Preparation of Job sheets & specification sheets for new orders

Handling of communication & progress reports for new orders

Professional handover of new vehicles manufactured

Provide backup & technical support to customers and ensure we are adding value and providing professional support

Handling & resolving of customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management (CAR’s)

Drive Sales activities with key and volume accounts

Manage relations with customers and ensure satisfaction

Provide product support including weight distribution simulations

Oversee marketing activities

Grow customer base

Provide sales plans and report


Ideally, proficient with HTM software for weight distribution calculations

Matric essential.

Suitable tertiary qualification an advantage

Required competencies, skills & knowledge:

Self-driven, independent and focused

Excellent negotiation skills

Strong customer service orientation

Sound organisational skills

Understanding of road traffic regulations

Good Computer skills

5+ years commercial vehicle experience of technical product sales
