Main job function
Technical Project Manager is to oversee the development, contracting, construction, and monitoring of a variety of renewable energy projects, and to develop innovative solutions to overcome renewable energy barriersQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering
Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification essential.
Experience/Criteria
Strong knowledge of different technologies (wind, solar, hydro, biomass, and latest clean energy technology) and aptitude to switch to different technologies.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years Engineering and Construction experience in Power Generation (Large Scale), Renewable Energy, or Large Industrial Engineering and Construction facilities.
Advanced Knowledge MS Office, Outlook, Excel, MS Project or similar.
Experience in renewable energy projects from early development / concept stages through to construction, commissioning, handover.
Track record of working on site and executing the project within the timelines.
Track record of commissioning the project with a smooth ramp up.
Budgetary control and experience of completing the projects within costs and in time frame.
Coordinate internal resources and business partners for the flawless execution of projects.
Thorough understanding of the relevant regulatory framework in South African and throughout Africa.
