Job Description:

Innovative, global supplier of telecommunications solutions is looking for a Systems Administrator / Developer to join their team in Stellenbosch.

Main job function

The Company is implementing a suite of software applications to assist in the operation and information systems of the company. These include JIRA, Confluence, Alfresco, Bitbucket and Sage X3 collectively called the MIS system. These applications must be integrated and configured to support the business processes and information requirements.


IT Degree, Diploma or relevant Certifications


Min 3 years relevant experience in a similar role

Participate in needs identification and analysis with assistance of the manager (Business Analyst)

Participate, in conjunction with the parties responsible for security and IT, in the design of the MIS system

Server maintenance and creation (Linux, Centos, Ubunto and Redhat)

Install, configure servlets and Tomcats, test, maintain, monitor and upgrade the MIS system

Implement and test configuration changes and scripts to support the business processes, information and security requirements

Developing and testing interfaces between the different applications to support the

information and business requirements

Test environment setup and upgrades

Creating reports, workflows, script writing (Linux) and development

Provide user support and third-party application support on MIS systems Jira, Confluence, Wiki, Alfresco and Bitbucket

Knowledge / Skills Required:


MS Sql and MySQL

Microsoft server




RESTful web scripts

Java OOP and JUnit


Bash and Linux
