Our client is a global industry leading manufacturing company, specializing in high quality products for energy transmission and distribution networks. They are based in our great capital, Pietermaritzburg, KZN. They are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer with supervisory design experience to join their team.
Main job function:
The purpose of the role is to manage the Design team responsible for ensuring the availability of tooling designs for all products produced by the Company.
The position reports directly to the Product Development Engineering (PDE) Manager.
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3 years supervisory design experience in a manufacturing industry;
Experience in the electrical power transmission and distribution industry a distinct advantage.

Work Systems:
- Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Projects– Intermediate to advanced level
- CADD (Computer Aided Design and Draughting) – Intermediate to Advanced Level
- Mastercam or CATIA programming - Intermediate to Advanced Level
- Solidworks - Intermediate to Advanced Level
