Main job function
To ensure that the premises is hazard-free, conduct safety checks on work areas and equipment, takes steps to mitigate risks in the future. Keep abreast of current occupational Health & Safety legislation and requirements to ensure compliance. Assist with safety drills and train personnel to deal with any kind of emergency.
Grade 12, H&S Qualification
Problem solving and ability to show initiative/Suggest improvements/Ability to compile reports/MS Office computer skills/Numeracy and literacy skills/Good command of English/language (verbal and written)
Training experience advantageous.

Health & Safety Audits
Health and Safety meetings
Attends H&S meetings, takes minutes and distribution thereof
Hazard Identification Risk Analysis
Assists SHE manager with compilation of baseline HIRA assessment, categorise and formulate risk profile for all tasks as per OHS Act.
Inspections and Statistics
Conducts first aid kit inspections with First Aiders
General: cGMP & Health/Safety
Reports irregularities and other non-conformities relating to cGMP which forms part of the continual quality improvement process
