Large Manufacturing plant in Middleburg has a vacancy for a Senior Purchasing Administrator (Contracts) to identify, compile and implement contracts and PLA’s.
This role requires at least 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Purchasing Administrator with emphasis on Contracts and Price List Agreements. A relevant supply chain or purchasing degree is essential for this role. AA/EE position.
Main job function
Identify, compile and implement contracts and Price List Agreements (PLA’s)
Liaise with internal clients and external suppliers
Process purchase requests to purchase orders
Source potential suppliers and request them to quote on provided scope of work
Evaluate and adjudicate supplier quotations
Negotiate contract terms with suppliers, pricing, payment terms, quality, lead time, etc
Expedite all outstanding orders and handle creditor queries
Handle all administration related to contracts, PLAs
File related documents
Diploma/degree in Purchasing, Supply Management or Commercial field
A CIPS qualification will be an added advantage
Knowledge of Contract Law
Experience in an administrative role.
Organising and time management skills
High attention to detail and conflict management
Strong analytical and administration skills.
Ability to interact with suppliers in an assertive yet professional manner is important.
