§ Overseeing all project stages from inception layouts to close out engineering designs
§ Ensure that BOQs, estimates and specifications are in line with the applicable design standards.
§ Coordinate engineering work within the team, with external consultants and revert to Line Managers
§ Ensuring that civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
§ Inspecting completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
§ Documenting processes and presenting project progress updates to senior managers and clients as well as internal team
§ In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes.
§ Plan, perform, and coordinate advanced level professional and technical engineering studies, computations, drawings, reports and surveys.
§ Deal tactfully with the public, high level staff or other public and private agencies, contractors, private engineers, governmental officials, and employees.
§ Actively share and contribute to the leadership platform with the Coastal Office Leadership and be a part of the decision-making process in terms of Staff related matters (mediate and facilitate)
§ Assess project and its requirements.
§ Assess the impact and feasibility of site due diligence, preliminary layout and up to the final engineering design.
§ Study and assess drawings, plans, specifications, and other documents relating to projects.
§ Determine budget, project schedules and scope of work and deploy appropriate staff.
§ Direct, lead, train and support other engineering and skilled personnel in managing and executing multiple tasks and projects.
§ Lead and direct onsite engineering teams.
§ Adhere to the best practices, standards and procedures of the company.
- Completed BSc / BTech
- PrEng / PrTechEng
- No less than 15 years’ experience in a similar position within a Consulting Engineering firm
- Technical knowledge of drawing and design processes
