Large importer/distribution firm based in Boksburg seeks Chartered Accountant with 3+ years in similar position to join their finance team
Main job function
To control, supervise and maintain all the Financial Accounting functions based on accounting principles daily.
To report on the Company’s monthly performance at a glance, by timeously and accurate completion of the Management Summary
Manage and co-ordinate the month-end and year-end plan accurately and timeously.
Completion of the monthly Operational Statement by ensuring to:
Summarize the financial activity in the Profit and Loss statement
Report to the Financial Director on the Statement of Financial position
Interpret results of operations.
To ensure all financial information, records and supporting documentation is collected during the year and presented to the Auditors accurately and during the onsite audit.
Ensure all Legislative taxes and similar deductions including VAT, Company Tax, PAYE etc. are accurately collected, reconciled and paid over within the required time frame.
Prepare and assist the Financial Director with the Annual Budgets for Expenses, Payroll, Sales and Capital Expenditure.
Control, maintain and develop the internal procedures to ensure integrity of the accounting systems.
These functions include but will not be limited to:
Assist in training and development of staff
Audit financial transactions and accurate record keeping
Assist with the development, implementation and compliance of accounting Policies and Procedures
Stand in for Payroll if and when required
Co-ordinate and manage the day-end and month-end procedure to ensure that all reports are run timeously and accurately directly
5+ years experience in similar role
MUST have Syspro experience
Live in the East Rand area
