Job Description:

Leading client in the Office supplies industry is seeking the services of a dynamic, experienced and exceptional Sales Consultant - IT–Supplies and Hardware to join their team.

Main job function

A great percentage of the responsibilities include administration of contracts and ensure rebates are claimed as they should be.

Administer and maintain all HP deals with customers and claim rebates.

The main goal is to increase sales and profitability of the category to drive sustainable growth

Visiting clients with the sales consultants on a regular basis

Spending and investing time in the branches – commercial and retail

Ensuring that customers qualifying for HP agreements are identified and presented with the SBD concept

Responsible for checking and ensuring that all rebates on SBD’s are accurate and relevant to related sales

Ensuring that Contracts / Pricing are up to date and done in a timeous manner

Developing strong relationships with suppliers / distributors

Driving and developing relationships with clients – new and existing

A thorough understanding of SBD’s, 10 to 1 concepts and SITA related contracts

Marketing the category through regional promotions

Devise and control cold calling and blitz days

Creating specials and promotions to increase product and brand awareness

Creating and developing a long-term plan of action and strategy for the category

Working together with clients and sales teams to translate customer insights into strategies which will then drive performance

Identify prospects and risks and develop appropriate strategies for each client

Analyzing data and insights to determine consumer trends and increase sales

Organise product training to be implemented at all branches on a regular basis –commercial and retail

Planning and executing customer events that will drive and promote the category

Develop strong working relationships with procurement, sales teams, accounts, the management team in KZN and the National Category Specialist

Strong people management skills and the ability to manage and persuade at all levels of the company – internal and external stakeholders

Motivate and inspire sales teams to achieve higher performance

Strong negotiation skills to achieve a win/win agreement with clients

Strong administration, marketing and sales acumen

Ability to operate at strategic, tactical and operational levels

Analyse and develop appropriate reports

Planning and organising skills

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Creative and innovative thinker

Self-driven, results and target orientated

Be able to work in a pressurised environment

Provide a dual role in being directly responsible for a corporate portfolio of accounts

Qualifications:

Matric

Relevant B Degree or equivalent qualification

Experience:

Computer Literacy

Valid Driver’s Licence and own reliable vehicle and willing to travel

Energetic, creative, innovative and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for sales

The candidate should be strong on business development by sourcing new sales opportunities

Proven track record of over-achieving quota

Appropriate technical expertise, sound sale background and ability to provide product support and customer service

The candidate should be a consultative seller, maintain and grow the portfolio;

Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

3-4 years of experience in a sales representative role or similar

Experience in a KAM role would be an advantage
