Excellent opportunity, based in Witbank for an International Engineering concern for a Sales Director to strategically position the business unit to gain maximum market share focusing on core activities, customers, markets and relationships, targeting new and existing business throughout SSA.
Main job function
Develop, identify and implement new markets and develop plans to maximize and achieve the regional objectives for products and services, in order to capitalize on the company’s position.
Optimise and rejuvenate current markets and look at innovative ways to extract value from the current base.
Create and leverage strategic partner networks to increase market share.
Identify organic and transformational growth opportunities.
Identify sales opportunities as a result of market changes.
Create a partner/distributor roadmap to establish best practices and measure value creation.
Works in conjunction with the National Managers, Head of Sales and Marketing and other functional heads to facilitate and achieve agreed goals and action plans.
Establish support required to sustain growth and retain strength in key markets.
Develop and manage departmental operating budget. Ensure effective control of business results and take corrective action to achieve these objectives within designated budgets.
Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to pre-set standards and industry and economic trends.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners.
Prepare periodic activity reports including reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Present results to executive management.
Relevant degree combined with 10 yrs experience, min of 5 at Senior level
Able to analyse and interpret financial data
Relevant experience in Sales/Marketing
Establish and maintains consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events
Participate as member of Business Unit management team
Establish individual and team goals which are aligned with the Company's business strategies and objectives.
Function as a contributing member of the department's team and other teams, as assigned.
