Job Description:

A Company based in Boksburg is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for sales of products to designated market or geographical area


Main job function

To develop new business by identifying potential sales opportunities and by following up new leads and sample requests

To report promptly on business (e.g. visit reports) in the designated market, identifying any threats or opportunities as they arise

To identify and implement improvement plans

To gather data on market prices and competitor behaviour and feedback to the relevant Sales & marketing teams

To visit customers in order to explain, promote and recommend Company products within designated markets and regions

To coordinate projects and development work with customers

To promote new and existing products by attending exhibitions and undertaking marketing projects

Regular communication with and influencing of relevant sales network and external contacts to manage the business in the market area, this may include coaching, support and advice of agents and distributors


Chemistry/Chem Eng. or related Technical Degree/Diploma


3 Years + experience in the Chemical Industry

Proven track record in selling

Willing to travel both locally, internationally and into Africa



Negotiation skills

Good communication skills

Planning & Organizing

Attention to detail

Commercial awareness

Time management



Numeracy Skills

Computer Literate
