Our client, an Engineering consultancy require the skills of a Resident Engineer to be based at Mthatha, Eastern Cape for a fixed term contract of 14 months

Main job function
Responsible for contracts management within the projects environment, with a special focus on SANRAL projects
Qualifications
· BSc or BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
· Pr Eng or Pr Tech Registration with ECSA
· Pr CMP Registration with SACPCMP will be an advantage
Criteria
· Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in construction and/or projects site supervision
· Experience as Engineer’s Representative on SANRAL project/s is required
· Thorough working knowledge of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO / COTO, SANS 1200, project specific etc.)
· Thorough working knowledge of Conditions of Contract (FIDIC 1999, NEC 3/4, GCC 2010/2015 and JBCC) will be beneficial
· Proficient Microsoft Office skills required
· Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
· Excellent client relation skills
