An Automotive component manufacturer is looking for a qualified Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. Responsible for the overall project quality. Automotive stamping & Welding experience is essential for this role. Must have a degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or similar. The role is based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Main job function
Overall Quality engineering responsibility for new projects including:
APQP – Needs to have strong APQP skills.
FMEA – Be able to conduct and co-ordinate teams to complete an FMEA,
Develop and maintain Control Plans for risks
Conduct SPC analysis in detail
Conduct detailed root cause analysis
Ensure robust actions are developed, verified, implemented, and validated
Detailed understanding and co-ordination experience with Measurement system analysis (MSA) studies.
Very detailed understanding of PPAP
Needs to be able to use (CAD) software to analyse product requirements and develop documents.
Analyse customer material and performance testing specifications and develop documents.
Stamping & Welding experience is essential.
5 years of Automotive-quality experience
Formal Training in IATF Core tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control
PPAP customer specifics and EAPQP.
Ability to work in a team.
