Main job function
To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the scope of practice
Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi professional team
Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating conducive environment
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment is accurately charged
Degree or Diploma in general nursing
Midwifery, postgraduate certificate diploma in relevant speciality area
Criteria
One year post graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialist post
Infection prevention and control principles and protocols
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nurinsng record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nuring processes and procedures
Develop modify a nuring care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Basic life support trained (ACLS, ATLS, PALS training for specialized wards
