Job Description:

Seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join a Company – can be based in JHB or Durban. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the Company’s marketing initiative.


Main job function

Identify target markets and develop strategies to communicate with them

Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies

Develop marketing and advertising strategies and plans

Brand Management & Custodianship: Lead consistency of in-market execution of brand assets (artwork, e-content, signage, broadcast copies) across all touch points

Recommend investment and budget choices and manage brand budget

Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections

Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own the implementation from ideation to execution (Shows innovation/ideas within the ICT industry)

Lead marketing initiatives with internal and external resources teams i.e. graphic designers, web developers, press release, customer events

Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns against goals

Plan and develop various marketing materials and products, i.e. presentations, pamphlets, proposals, products, stationery, etc.

Events management of Industry specific events, end to end event management from logistics to attendance to reporting

Provide marketing reports on sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information, etc.

Managing marketing budget including securing third party/ alternative funding collaborations

Assisting team members with day to day marketing tasks and activities as requested

Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors

Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues

Work both individually and as part of a team where appropriate

Fulfil any training and/or examination requirements as per the Company’s skills and certification matrix

Regularly familiarize yourself with the Company’s portfolio of Products and Services, Customers, Suppliers and internal Procedures

Be a professional and courteous representative for the Company at all times


Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing


Knowledge and experience in Design software preferred

Knowledgeable in a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts

Creative and Innovative

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Confident and outgoing personality

Excellent attention to detail

Well organised and self-motivated

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Ability to multitask

Demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as a valued team member
