Job Description:

A company based in Durban is seeking a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist. The successful incumbent will be responsible to manage the day to day activities of local sourcing within the Africa region. The role will also manage the tactical logistics projects out of the Africa region






Main job function


Coordinate with the local Operating Company with regards to sourcing needs


Coordinate with the CFS team on what should be sourced globally and what should be sourced locally based on price points, lead time, quality, Tariffs & import duties


Develop a local sourcing base for the Region


Manage the sourcing needs out CFS for Africa


Select and certify new local suppliers


Audit and manage the COC and COE process for local suppliers


Balance the Region’s needs between local and global sourcing


Manage local logistics projects within the Region

  Procurement or Logistics Degree  
  7-10 Years’ experience in Footwear sourcing   Preferably currently working for a Footwear or sporting goods company   Experience within the Africa region outside South Africa   Experience working in a multinational company   Experience working within/with a global sourcing organization   Exposure to logistics & transportation processes   Ability to manage small size sourcing projects   High level understanding of Footwear buying and product development process   Excellent Communication Skills       A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.  Please consider your application unsuccessful should you not have been contacted within 2 weeks.  We will keep your CV on our database and contact you should you match the criteria of any other vacancies.
