Job Description:

A Company is seeking a People Manager/Human Capital Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful incumbent will be responsible to oversee strategic talent development and management and the human capital administrative needs of the organisation. They develop and manage employee lifecycles focussing on talent sourcing, workforce management, performance management, wellness, employee engagement and adaptation processes within the organisation

Main job function

Strategic Alignment and Execution

Facilitate the creation of performance metrics at team and individual levels to guide functional and individual performance, and set up regular performance evaluations and schemes to reward employees

Develop and manage remuneration strategy and framework for the organisation

Collaborate with functional heads to drive an environment of cross-functional, high performing teams and individuals as a way of working

Create a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP)

Develop, manage and report annual budgets for the unit

Workforce Management

Develop a strategic talent strategy, which encompasses recruiting, developing and retaining employees, aligned to the organisation’s value proposition and that focuses on building a quality and depth of talent at each level of leadership within the organization

Manage the organisational architecture; i.e. functional structures, seasonal employees, role reassignment, etc.

Talent Lifecycle Management

Create and manage organizational capability, skills maps and an annual learning and skills development plan for the organisation by Identify capability and skills gaps through training assessments and find suitable training interventions to fill these gaps

Employee Wellness and Engagement

Create an engaging and positively challenging environment for employees to thrive in and aim to sustain high levels of employee retention i.e. Employee value proposition (EVP), wellness and engagement 

Develop, implement and execute processes and procedures with a focus on developing a positive employee engagement climate during complex organizational changes

Learning and Development

Develop and manage the appropriate learning and training budget structure and training approval process

Develop dynamic, agile approaches to designing performance-centric learning systems and manage the creation of training programs and ensure that their content addresses the relevant organisational needs to deliver results

Research, develop and Implement the appropriate adult learning tools per target audience (presentation tools and techniques)

Search for relevant training partners and suppliers and effectively manage the procurement and supplier management processes herein

Qualifications:

Minimum BCom Honours in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology

Experience:

Minimum 5 years within a Human Capital Management environment in a fast-growing organization

Minimum 3 years of working experience in a management position

Demonstrated ability in Talent and Leadership Development strategies and Learning and Development or Training environment

Demonstrated exposure in design, development and implementation of curriculums, content development and strategically managing capabilities and skills levels of the organization
