Main job function
The main purpose of this role is to oversee the effective functioning of the Malawi site operations.
The operations Supervisor reports directly to the Malawi Country Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the overall functioning of Malawi site operations to ensure they are functioning optimally and in accordance to regulations. This position is also responsible for managing the financial aspects of the sites and ensuring cash levels and scheduling is effective at all times. The Regional Supervisors, Reconciliations Administrator and Schedulers reports to this position.
Internal liaison takes place within internal Malawi staff. External liaison takes place with banks and regulatory institutions.
Grade 12/equivalent (Essential)
Relevant degree/diploma (Desirable)
3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role in the financial services environment (Essential)
Knowledge of foreign exchange
Knowledge of scheduling and CIT
Knowledge of exchange control regulations
Knowledge of FICA regulations
Knowledge of budget management
Knowledge of HR principles
Duties and Responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
To oversee the scheduling and cash levels across Malawi sites
To manage the financial aspects of the Malawi operations
To ensure remittance and petty cash is managed accurately
To ensure company sites are running optimally
To ensure compliance with the regulatory and reporting requirements
To perform a general management function for the team
To manage own professional and self-development
