Beautiful Guest Lodge catering to both tourist and business travelers urgently seeks live-in On-Site Manager.
Main job function
Onsite stay in position
Complete management of Lodge
Marketing and promoting Lodge
Reporting to owner - Compiling daily reports of income, occupancy, maintenance issues, new reservations, etc.
Monthly completion of Cashbook and Hotel Banking
Guest Relations - Assisting guests with complaints and queries and daily check-up on as many guests as possible
Network troubleshooting - Working with IT company to upgrade and keep network, desktops, interface computers and wi-fi working
Management of Online Travel Agents (Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, etc.) - Keeping listings, rates, guest correspondence and commission payments updated
Management of Hotel Property Management System - Keeping set-up and rates updated. Making sure correct rates and availability is uploaded to the Online Travel Agents via the Interface System
Management of Reception and Reservations - Assuring staff are adhering to company policies and procedures in dealing with guests and reservations
Doing all group quotations, bookings and liaising with group leaders
Management of Conferences - Co-ordinating, set-up and overseeing all conferences
Management of Kitchen and Restaurant - Overseeing set-up, meal preparation, plating, serving and clearing
Management of Housekeeping and Laundry - Assuring staff are adhering to company policies in cleaning rooms and linen control
Daily room checks of quality of cleaning and standard of equipment
Management of Gardens and Maintenance - Overseeing gardeners
Doing basic maintenance and liaising with plumbers, electricians, builders, painters, etc.
Staff training - Training of all new staff in all departments and refresher training
Stock takes and stock control of all department - Ordering and purchasing of stock for kitchen, housekeeping, gardens, Maintenance, reception and conference departments
Matric plus relevant qualification/experience
Full knowledge of Nightsbridge booking system
Knowledge of social media - Facebook, Instagram etc.
