·Prepare equipment and methodology for the successful execution of on-site machining jobs
·Maintain good and regular communication with the Employer and Customer
·Adhere to all company policies and procedures
·Travel to sites as designated by the Employer to carry out work requirements
·Set-up, adjust and operate all fleet machines and other on-site machining equipment as required by the employer.
·The use of machines such as lathes and milling machines in the workshop
·Study of technical drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequence of operations in order to execute work on-site.
·Clean and lubricate machines, tools and equipment post use.
·Aid the technical department in the repair of machines and equipment.
·Support projects from assessment through planning and execution.
·Train all Assistants and Colleagues if an opportunity presents itself.
Attentively observe and monitor all machines during the cutting process for proper function and potential malfunctions.
·Minimum requirement is one of the following trades, Toolmaker, fitter and Turner, Turner or Millwright
·Must have a clean criminal record
·Must have a driving licence
·Must reside within a 50km radius of Edenvale head Office in Modderfontein
·Must be comfortable working under pressure
·Must be able to read and have a good understanding of technical drawings
·Should have some supervisory and administrative skills (will be the leader of a team and will be required to keep accurate records).
