- Relevant post-graduation qualification in Nursing or equivalent.
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
- Substantial clinical experience in area of specialty, including 5 years’ nursing experience.
- Ability to support and maintain budget management process.
- A sound understanding of information technology including clinical systems applications relevant to the managements of rostering and risk management reporting.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process redesign and to support/train staff.
- Understanding care standards and accreditation processes.
- Private hospital experience would be advantageous.
- Sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Good communication and sound interpersonal relation skills.
- The ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Assertive presence.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
