A Company based in New Germany is seeking a National Credit Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for dealing with a high volume of accounts
Main job function
Maintaining and monitoring accounts
Manage and monitor companies’ total debtor’s books
Ensure that book debts are secured and collected within terms
Monitor and review special arrangements and legal accounts
Setting up payment plans incurring interest
Reviewing – approve and decline new accounts
Ensuring appropriate security when required to mitigate risk
Submitting and monitoring claims with CGIC
Setting of procedures and policies ensuring that they are adhered to
Reconciling accounts
Weekly cash projections
Liaising with sales staff
Ensuring internal and external queries are resolved
Local and export customers
Staff – Manage credit control department
Setting of objectives and targets
Appraisals of key performance areas
Training of personnel
Setting and analysing budgets/fixed costs
Interviewing/employing staff members
Reports
Monthly debtor’s summary for each business
Special arrangement accounts progress
Process legal accounts and costs
Provisions for doubtful debts
Declarations for CGIC
Matric and relevant Finance Degree/Diploma Credit Management Level 4 qualification
A minimum of 5 years as a Credit Manager dealing with a high volume of accounts
Corporate environment
An advantage would be experience in dealing with a number of companies simultaneously
