Job Description:

Our client, one of the largest international Islamic banking groups in the world is looking for an International Banking Officer - Durban – Head Office.


 Main job function

      Ensure that all payment requests received, are processed in accordance with the Bank’s internal rules, adherence to Shariah compliance, compliance with International banking norms and practices, compliance to the Exchange Control Rulings & Regulations, maintaining excellent client service

      Processing of Documentary Transactions including LCs and Bills

      Processing of Non-documentary transactions including Telegraphic Transfers and Corporate Plus payments

      Process Swift messages on system

      Resolves enquiries and queries for external clients where applicable

      Provides support to Relationship Managers in respect of their interaction with clients inter alia explanations on policies and procedure to new or existing clients; providing clients with contact details of all International Banking staff, their relevant functions and procedural documents

      Resolves enquiries and queries for internal Departments

      Attends to customer queries as and when necessary and provides feedback to the

relevant parties

      Ensures that all verifications of transactions are correct

      Process Swift message on system



      A diploma or recognised certificate in International Trade would be an advantage


      A minimum of 2-5 years of general banking experience, accounting & international finance

      MS Office
