Broking Firm based in Umhlanga, is seeking the services of an exceptional INTERNAL BROKER, to join their dynamic organization.
Main job function
To ensure the accurate and efficient capturing, processing and completion of client policies – Reporting directly to the Underwriting Manager
Securing new business
Obtain prospective client’s current insurance details
Approach market for quotes – compile presentation documents, including comparison
Ensure all relevant forms are completed and signed
Confirm cover arrangements with client
Arrange/Lay off cover with Insurer
Draft summary for typing
Process policy documents – raise invoices where applicable
Complete pack to AE for delivery
Total turnaround time – 72 hours
Renewals
Print copies of policies, claims experience and 3 years loss ratio reports, 6 weeks prior to renewal
Update summary and Excel spreadsheets (where applicable)
Audit files for all relevant forms
Obtain / Negotiate terms with insurers
Assist AE with market exercise, where necessary – complete comparison
Accompany AE to renewal meeting
Confirm renewal discussion to client
Lay off cover with Insurer
Update summary with renewal information
Process policy documents – raise invoices where applicable
Complete pack to AE for delivery
Total turnaround time – 72 hours
Confirmations
Cover confirmation to be processed immediately – copy to AE, client and Insurer
Diarise, if there is outstanding information
Process amendment directly, if all information available

Acknowledge receipt of amendment request – advise AE

1. Must have worked for reputable sized BROKERAGES before doing Corporate work.
MUST have Corporate, Commercial and Domestic experience and have worked at a Brokerage/s before. Must have an understanding of Assets All Risk / Business Interruption, Stockthroughput ( Marine ), Financial lines ( Directors & Officers / Liabilities etc. ) Motor etc.
Ability to compile placing slips/computations correctly and understand them
TIAL ( system ) experience great advantage
Very self-motivated ( especially to work from home), proactive with high attention to detail and a good student mentality and work ethic to follow instructions and able to manage oneself and workflow
High standard of work
Commercial / Corporate technical knowledge imperative
Good command written and spoken of the Kings English
