Main job function

Perform instrumentation & control systems and equipment troubleshooting, in cooperation with the O&M Competence Centers

Root cause analysis and troubleshooting of plant failures

Statistical monitoring, analysis and reporting of instrument failures, both in technical and economic terms

Develop specific site troubleshooting, testing, calibration and maintenance process documents for each type of components

Manage and monitor technical specifications for instrumentation and control systems

Technical support to O&M units to validate spare parts compatibility, to identify auxiliaries of components and to analyze failure in replaced materials, provide training and assistance

Oversee on-site tests and maintenance and take responsibility for correct process execution

Supervise tests of new versions of components and control systems

Coordinate the implementation of equipment technical improvements in cooperation with Operational Efficiency team

Support in drafting tender specification for framework maintenance agreements, in defining the list of bidders and in bid evaluation

Support and represent EGP in technical meetings with technicians, manufacturers, certifiers, etc.

Ensure compliance with safety, security, health, environmental and quality standards / procedures

Qualifications:

BEng /BTech Electrical/ Electronic Technician (ECSA Pr. Tech. or equivalent) or Technologist (ECSA Pr. Technologist)

Experience:

At least 4-6 years of experience in the electrical industry. Strong background in the energy sector

Practical technician experience on instrumentation and control system (SCADA, protection, metering, telecontrol etc)

At least 2 years of experience in the maintenance, testing or commissioning of instrumentation and control systems

Ability to share knowledge and train other technicians
